The exclusive Canarian coffee is truly remarkable, with rich flavor nuances, which include chocolate and nuts that blend wonderfully with botanical vanilla and the citrus of Licor 43 Original. Together, they create the new and sublime flavor of Liquor 43 Baristo.
The recipe of Licor 43 dates back to ancient times, when the Romans conquered Cartago, they found a drink called Liqvor Mirabilis, or Wonderful Liquid. A golden and aromatic elixir made with local herbs and fruits, which the Romans forbade their production and consumption for fear that their soldiers, who soon appreciated the drink, consumed it in excess. However, the Carthaginians ignored the ban and continued to fabricate it in secret.
Today, this millenary recipe inspires the Licor 43 of Diego Zamora, which has been produced since the 1940s in Spain. It is said to be made with a combination of 43 herbs, fruits and spices, hence the name.
It can be consumed pure, with ice or cocktails, being a great ingredient to bring complexity and sweetness to the most varied drinks.
