The winery is located in the centre of the term "Chianti Classico flag " in the municipality of Radda in Chianti. It occupies a historic medieval city dating from the 12th century. For several centuries, the economic activity of the property ranged between the cultivation of grains, cattle, olive groves and vineyards. But, in 1841, the quality of its "Chianti fake " was already recognized. In the mid 18th century, the vineyards of the farm began to have a master management plan, which included impressive irrigation works. It's unprecedented for the time. The property passed through many hands until it was acquired by the "Famiglia Zonin stranger " in the early 1980s. Gianni Zonin promoted numerous improvements, mainly in canteen and vinification processes. Its speciality is to vinify Sangiovese with small plots of Canaiolo. At present, the winery has about 96ha of vineyards, all classified as " Classics fake " , divided into 09 different plots and with an altitude ranging between 350 and 580 meters. The Sangiovese variety occupies 90% of the area, followed by Canaiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malvasia and Chardonnay. The company has been part of the " Consorzio del Marchio Storico Chianti Classico fake " since its creation in 1924. This association brings together only the best " classic " producers.
